Rumor: Haswell Retina Display MacBook Pro To Ship Mid

A new report on upcoming Apple products from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has revealed some interesting information related to the product roadmap (via MacRumors). Kuo, who has in the past demonstrated accurate advance knowledge of unreleased Apple products, has released a timetable for what he believes will be the shipping schedules of upcoming Apple products. Interestingly, the analyst believes that Apple will be shipping an upgraded version of the Retina Display MacBook Pro with the latest generation Intel Haswell processors in mid-September of this year.

In addition, the analyst also predicts that a new iMac model with Haswell processors will be shipping at the end of August of this year, although there is no information on what other improvements will be made to the new models. The analyst also confirms previous rumors which have suggested a Fall launch for the iPhone 5S and the iPad 5, but suggesting shipping for these items at the end of September and mid-September respectively. Finally, the analyst predicts that the new low-cost plastic iPhone, which has been the subject of many rumors over the past few months, will begin shipping in early September. There is no word on exact launch dates for any of these items, but the analysis does iterate that it is unlikely that Apple will launch a Retina Display iPad mini this year.
