Summary: The Mac and iDevice maker is apologetic for the 'significant inconvenience' caused by an outage that has affected its developer site for nearly a week.
Apple developer services are slowly returning after nearly a week of downtime due to an intrusion by security researcher Ibrahim Balic.
Subsequent to Balic's actions, Apple took the decision to "completely overhaul" its developer-related systems and rebuild them.
"We've been working around the clock to overhaul our developer systems, update our server software, and rebuild our entire database," said the latest missive to developers from Cupertino.
"We plan to roll out our updated systems, starting with Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, Apple Developer Forums, Bug Reporter, pre-release developer libraries, and videos first. Next, we will restore software downloads, so that the latest betas of iOS 7, Xcode 5, and OS X Mavericks will once again be available to program members."
The company has created a status page to show when the system returns to functionality. At the time of writing, only iTunes Connect and Bug Reporter were back online.

Apple said that it will extend any developer memberships that were due to expire while the outage occurred, and that any associated apps will remain on the App Store. The company was typically tight lipped on any details of the length of the extension or any grace period for developers to renew their membership.
