If you carry a backpack or a purse, chances are you keep a power cord for your gadget of choice in there. If you're wandering around without a bag of some kind though, Kii thinks they have what you need.

It has taken a little while, but third party manufacturers are finally doing clever things with Apple's new Lightning adapter. At most resellers, you'll find that these cables are more expensive than their 20-pin or MicroUSB counterparts, largely due to the extra hardware and licensing fees that go along with Apple's hot new technology. And of the cables that are available most will be extra long versions, while the coffee shop/office user often finds themselves in environments where shorter cables would be preferable. Kii takes this idea to something of an extreme, by removing everything between the USB and Lightning ports.

Contained in a clever keyring design is a USB stick that allows you to charge any Lightning or 20-pin iOS device. The big idea here is that you'd be able to plug your iPhone straight into your laptop when you're on the go, but really you could make this an all in one solution with a simple USB male to female extender cable.

BlueLounge is selling the Kii for $20 if you want the 20-pin option or $40 for the Lightning variant. The Lightning variant comes in black or white to match your iPhone if you choose, but is capable of charging iPads as well.
