Most reviews indicate that iPad users must have the extraordinarily well designed and functional Logitech Ultrathin combo keyboard and cover. They are right.
Forgive the adoration but few products are just so well designed and so amazingly good at what they do - this is one of those iconic products.
iPad is great for content consumption but the onscreen keyboard is simply too slow and takes up too much real estate to be a serious content creation tool.
Sure, you can buy a separate, cheapie, Bluetooth keyboard or you can buy this extension of the iPad 'cool' at $99.
The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad, designed as an integral cover for iPad, magnetically clips onto the left, long edge, to form a hinged cover and screen protector.
Open it up and slip the short edge into the grove for portrait view (great for A4 documents) or the long edge for landscape view (great for web surfing). The keyboard is extremely well balanced and converts the iPad into a, solid, stable, well balanced (won't easily tip over) notebook.
The outer cover is made of the same alloy material and the iPad and looks like a natural part of it. The keyboard segment is gloss plastic available in black, red, purple and white.
It pairs via Blutetooth to the iPad and recharged by a micro USB connector. Logitech claim each charge lasts 6 months in typical use. It is instant on and off when you open the cover or switch on the iPad. There is a separate power button to turn it on/off and an indicator led to show charge.
It fits iPad 2, iPAd 3 rd and 4 th generation and has a 3 year warranty.
Recommendation - 9.5 out of 10 and a great iPad extender.
